With over 33 years of experience, Dr Clare is the foremost expert in assessment for learning and developmental difficulties and psychotherapy for children, parenting issues and Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT) in Singapore. She was the first Singaporean to be certified in CTRT in 1992 in US and has been Senior Faculty Member/Instructor at the William Glasser Institute (US) since 2004. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families of all backgrounds.

She has been a practicing psychologist since 1991 and was trained in the US in school psychology and counseling psychology. Previously, she was the Head of Science in a secondary school, a guidance officer and later as a senior educational psychologist at MOE. She has also worked in public schools, child and adolescent psychiatric hospital and Child Developmental Center in a Hospital setting in Indiana, USA.

She specializes in multiple modalities including CBT, Virginia Satir, EMDR, and Play Therapy. She was an adjunct lecturer in NTU, NIE, & SUSS and supervisor for Masters candidates in Monash University, NIE and JCU. She currently provides supervision for practicing counsellors/psychologists/social workers in family service centres.
