Alicia is a highly experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical practice in Hong Kong and Singapore. She specializes in complex trauma, child and adolescent mental health, developmental challenges, grief and loss, adoption and attachment, chronic illness coping strategies, divorce and separation issues, and parent-child relationships.
Alicia currently serves as a Faculty Member at the National University of Singapore, where she lectures on child and youth mental health, clinical skills, and trauma-informed care at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She previously held positions as staff and adjunct faculty at The University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
Her advanced academic credentials include a PhD in Social Work from The University of Hong Kong and a Master's degree in Child and Adolescent Health from the University of Sydney. Alicia’s specialized training covers Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Somatic Experiencing™, Sensorimotor Art Therapy, Analytical Psychology, Touch Skills, and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
She is a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor for the Association of Play Therapy in both Singapore and the United States, a certified Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner, an Expressive Sandplay Therapist, and a Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counsellors. Alicia also provides clinical supervision, case consultation, and training for mental health professionals.
